1st Knighton Guides; Home

Guides are open to girls aged 10 - 14 years. They get involved in everything – from adventure sports and performing arts to travelling and taking part in community action projects. Guides have the chance to get out there and do something really different. They are girls aged 10 to 14 who explore new places, go on camps, holidays and trips (sometimes abroad!), meet new friends at events like the BIG GIG, and try exciting activities. By joining, your daughter can become part of a worldwide community of girls who come together to have fun, learn and make things happen.

Please take a look at our website HERE   for more information.

1st Knighton Guides: Senior Section

The Senior Section offers girls and young women the opportunity to make new friends, learn useful skills and take action on issues they care about.

Members of The Senior Section explore more – more activities, more adventure and more fun.

They are aged 14 to 25 and can choose from a huge range of unique opportunities, including travelling around the world, taking part in exciting advocacy campaigns, getting involved in worldwide community projects and helping girls all over the UK by volunteering with Girlguiding.

A member of The Senior Section can take on as few or as many roles as she wishes, including:

·       Young Leader – members aged 14 to 18 who work with a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide unit

  •           Leader – members aged 18+ who are also qualified Girlguiding Leaders

  •            Peer Educator – members who are trained to deliver Girlguiding’s peer-education programme on issues affecting today’s girls and young women

  •           Advocate – members aged 14 to 26 who are part of Girlguiding’s youth panel, which discusses the issues girls care about and seeks change.
